PPR vs. Full Custom

I'm in this murky, intermediate zone between going the full custom route and remaining in the 'good but not the best' rifle part of my life. In looking for a 6mm for short to medium work, say <1000-1200, I am teetering on the Pinacle Production Rifle from GAP. It seems like quite a bit of gun for $2500 so can someone tell me what I'm missing out on in the PPR that I would get in a custom gun if the same parts are chosen? It uses a Tenacity, Bartlein barrel, I'll put a Calvin Elite in it, and of course it comes with the Manners stock.

I should clarify that this is a pleasure craft, I don't compete or hunt, just like to shoot steel.

It is a custom gun - the savings come on the standardization of parts and economy of scale. My outfitter in MT has one and it is VERY nice. As long as you like a 6 Creed or 6GT, you are good to go.

As stated, it a custom rifle from one of the best at a stupid deal. You won’t find a better price with that build list of component.

I think if one of the "production" rifles from some of these custom shops fit what you need/want there's no downside to them and the price is an amazing deal. Going full custom is certainly worth it if there's something very specific you want/need, but if you just want something high quality that's accurate these production offerings are a steal for what you get.

Okay this is what I was thinking. the alternative to the PPR would be an ARC Nucleus with a Bartlein pre-fit from Straight Jacket in 6GT. I'd probably throw it in a Bravo or something equivalent. I prefer the Nucleus to the Tenacity, and I like being able to screw on a new barrel easily when I burn the first one up. But man, that PPR is a great deal on a complete rife from some of the best in the biz.

I think the only thing you get by going custom would be choice in components. I wouldn't go custom to build the same rifle GAP is offering at a very competitive price. If you want a different stock or action etc then custom makes sense. Performance-wise I would expect them to perform similarly.
