My stepdaughter teaches up in Roxbury NY. Compiled kids oral versions of Thankgiving. The best one went something like this:
Daddy and Buster go into the woods with a gun. They come back with a turkey in a backpack. Then they squeeze all the blood out and cut off the feathers with a scissors. Then mommy puts it in the oven for a long time, like 3 or 4 minutes. Then we eat it with mashed potatos and lots of stuff.
There's still hope for the youth here in upstate NY!
