+1. But while PaleRider must've gotten his extra boost from kicking ass, I mix mine with sugar-free redbull. 2-3 scoops and a small redbull (flat or else it'll fizz a lot) mix really well.

Re: pre workout

ive used about every pre-workout and Jack3d worked the best for me. im using the c4 now its by far the best tasting and works fine. i think they all work different for everyone. i know my lifting partner prefers different pre-workouts than i do or should i say his body reacts different to them than mine.

how about ravage anyone use it? it tastes nasty as hell but gave me a great pump.

Re: pre workout

i think ill buy a container of jacked. any suggestions on what i should use as a weight gainer? i plan on gaining about 10 pounds and even then i would be 10 pounds below average for my height. my only supplement so far is protein after every workout

Re: pre workout

I used the BSN line of NO Xplode for prework out, syntha-6 protein powder and cellmass post work out. I worked out 4 days 1 off, and in 3 months went from 132lbs 5% body fat to 157lbs 3% body fat.

It is less effective on some days, but this beta-alanine has definitely something back - flush, tingling, etc. I've stuck with the recommended 3 scoops.

Re: pre workout

Scoop of C4, scoop of Jack3D, scoop of Blitzz mixed in Monster Rehab and chased with a 5h Energy Extreme.

Perfect blend to lift and shoot.

Re: pre workout

Well its not needed its just a performance booater. You get caffiene, creatine, beta alanine as a basis in most which least to longer more beneficial workouts. Beat alanine reduces lactic acid so you're muscles feel less fatigued when working out. You can order everything alone and make you're own or by one and do without the others.

Re: pre workout

I take my fat burn stack 30 min pre workout , sip 20g BCAA's during workout. Anything more I can't train as hard for fear of throwing up.

fat burn stack is 100mg caffeine , 12.5mg Ephedrine , 5mg yohimbeHCL

um , how exactly was your body fat checked ??

not to sound like a dick but gaining 25 pounds and dropping 2% BF in 90 days is a stretch , it can be done , I've seen Kevin Levrone do it but their is ALOT of "chemistry" involved and that guy is a genetic mutant.

people can make some amazing gains in short periods naturally but their are alot of factors involved , the average guy that does workout and has for a little while isint going to add some 25 pounds of lean muscle in months , it's physiologically impossible and would be extremely painful , even with the work being done with manipulating the myostatin genes in the body it's a far fetched idea.

now if you took a guy that has been under fed his whole life and never tried working out the. you could feed the shit out of him and train his muscles properly and he could make some amazing gains to bring his body up to it's genetic limit but once it gets their the gains will slow to a crawl

Re: pre workout

this is what an honest to goodness 2.8% bodyfat looks like that was done via DEXA scan which is the most accurate. skin calipers are fairly accurate assuming that your fat is distributed evenly and hydrostatic is pretty accurate but can be manipulated.

so when you guys say you are easy 4-5% please look at your ass in the mirrior and if you can see definatly seperation in the muscle then guess again

Note , this is actualy a woman which is very impressive due to their estrogen generaly not letting them get nearly as lean as a man

Re: pre workout

Nobody ever used supremacy? Seriously? To me and a lot of other people that is the best we've ever taken..they banned it a year ago or so but it came back. The first time I took it my ears got tingley and I felt like I was on crack. Serious stuff, y'all should try it.
My 2 cents

I was the latter. I didn't work out much and in Iraq had nothing to do but work and workout. Body fat was checked using caliper at multiple locations on body biweekly, I'm just going off what they calculated.
I was 118lbs before boot camp 140 at the end, evened out to 132-135lbs.

Outstanding work !! , dont get discouraged or put off if your gains slow or stop , thats just meaning you are close to your genetic limit of what your body wants to hold. gains are still possible just not like they came at first.

Keep pounding the food and heavy weight and the body will grow

This is what a shit ton of drugs, serious dehydration, and a ridiculously insane diet with absolutely 0% chance of error looks like... oh yeah and a shit ton of drugs, did I say that?

I would agree with Jack3D being a good one, Beta Alanine will make you tingle but you do build up a tolerance. Citrulline Malate is another good compound to add as it helps with endurance, some solid studies and science behind it and it is pretty cheap. It has a sour taste so it makes most things taste better IMO.

Re: pre workout

Well for me cycling off the compound and getting back on it a month later always works. I feel it like I felt it the first time I tried it. Plus I think if you're stuck at a weight and want to keep going up cycling off can help IMO.
Remember to take your liver care pill though, all this stuff will take a toll on it.

More importantly is your kidneys , all this shit has to pass through them first

Re: pre workout

True about the kidneys. True about the phs as well. It's just preference, if you're already taking a ph then it's up to you if you want to try it out. Don't quote me on this but I think you can still take a hormone with supremacy, but do the research first! I've never taken ph so I don't worry about it.

Re: pre workout

I personally like the pre-workout combo of:
Geranium extract
Green Tea Extract
ephedrine 25mg
AAKG 3.5 grams
Creatine 5 grams
Citruline Malate 1.5 grams
B-complex
Potassium Gluconate 99mg
Protein Isolate 30 grams
Lots of water during the workout.

Or if I do use a pre mix, NO shotgun or blackpowder

I like to make my own...alot cheaper and I can add or take away what dont want in it...as far as JackD...good stuff but does not agree with my stomach.

C4..it works but to me its just more of a stim then a pre wk out for me.

Re: pre workout

Ive used c4 and am right now. It works like they say. Takes about 15 minutes to start working. I can always tell. Makes my face look like I have wind burn and my skin has a tingling feeling for about 20 minutes. For me I dont really get that burn or lactic acid build up. I can keep going until complete fatigue. I dont know if thats what they had in mind when making it or if its a placebo effect?

Dark chocolate has a host of other advantages but coco has a great effect as a vasoconstrictor dilator.
I'm not talkin about eating a while hershy bar but the Lindt chocolates are good , Wal-Greens generally has a good price on them

if you mix a scoop of protein powder with just enough water to make it like cake batter then add a couple squares warmed of 70% coco to it , it makes an awesome Late night snack

Re: pre workout

How does this stuff not affect your body in a negative way? Especially long term?
Just started back at the gym to lose fat and gain muscle. I've just always been skeptical about supplements.

Re: pre workout

I recommend NO Xplode by BSN or Amino Energy by Optimum Nutrition. Don't take NO Xplode too late in the evening or you will be up all night. Trust me. Especially the first few times you use it.

Re: pre workout

Newbie here to both the Hide and to this thread. I have reached the inevitable big 40 and with kids and all sorts of lifestyle changes lets just say I am not quite the same as I used to be. Can anyone suggest a pre workout and for that matter a workout for someone my age. I have about 20 # to loose to get back to my weight when I was still working out. I was a workout nut from about 15 until I was 32 and then some medical issues and the above mentioned lifestyle changes came into play. I was diagnosed with Graves Disease but I now have that under control and would love to get back to were I was. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I am looking for advice on building and defining muscle as well as losing at least 20#. As for the pre workout I do have 3 kids and a beautiful wife to consider, so I really don't want to take anything that will destroy my liver or kidneys or anything inside. Thanks to all
