Anyone have any favorite predator hunting shotgun, that might have a tactical twist to it???

Or what folks might be having problems with.....

I've used a buddies that wears a Delta sight, and it's been good except in the rain, so maybe a ghost ring would be a better close-quarters brush gun.

Hit me with your ideas guys!

Thanks in advance!

Rem. 24" 870 Express Super Magnum with +3 tube. Fiber optic bead type front sight. Hevi Shot DC T-shot or Remington HD. These loads have been hammers for me.

Re: Predator Hunting Shotguns?

Youre good with anything that has a full choke and buck or that fancy yote T-shot stuff. Youd be surprised how far a magnum T or buck load will hammer a coyote out to. Think +50...

Re: Predator Hunting Shotguns?

No doubt the benelli is great, I went on the cheaper route & found a used rem 1100 special purpose with dovetail sights. 23" barrel with a carlson's dead coyote choke will reach on out there. Using a barrel extension allowed me to easily mount a rail & light as well.

Re: Predator Hunting Shotguns?

Any number of mossy 500 turkey specials laying around cheap. Put a carlson's dead coyote choke in it or a doubl-xtra full. That's my tractor/pasture gun. Dirty D is right on the range of the t shot in 3", good for 65+ yards.

Just got a 835 in turkey special get up, just haven't bought any of the 3 1/2" shoulder pounders yet.

Cheers,
Breeze

The Rem 887 nitro mag tactical with aimpoint micro is my favorite for wildboars and other game.
