I got my first USO 3.2-17 ergo w/erek. I have an IOR and USO. I tried a Falcon and that new Weaver tactical mil/mil. I had to send the Weaver back to the factory new out of the box. It was so bad they refunded my money. The Falcon wasn't perfect either but neither did it cost $750 so I kept it for my rimfire. Point is, once you step into the premium glass realm its almost impossible to digress.

That is what I was afraid of. I picked up my first Premier Scope a little while ago, im not sure I can stand any of my Leupolds now.

It's also an expectation thing. Not all your rifles need a PR or SB glass. My rimfire training rifles got a bushnell 3200, which is more than enough for what I am using it for. I still own a mark 4 on one of my 556, it's fine for what I am using it for. Glass quality can give you a better view, but most of the time it's not going to help you if your shooting fundamentals are jacked up.

Love my USO also contemplating on picking up a 1.8-10 SN-3 for my SPR but i had planned on the leupy, and while i really want the USO the 4 weeks of working to get the money and another 2 months of waiting if i can't find one in stock has me kind of shaking my head.

Isn't that a kick in the nuts, I have the same problem. Part of the reticle is blurred and it won't focus clearly past 12x. The thing is going back to midway monday and I'm waiting for either the new SS or possibly the new 30mm IOR. Probably just go with the SS though.

Isn't that a kick in the nuts, I have the same problem. Part of the reticle is blurred and it won't focus clearly past 12x. The thing is going back to midway monday and I'm waiting for either the new SS or possibly the new 30mm IOR. Probably just go with the SS though.

JMHO. All the gear is great, but like you said BX1129, shooting basics are key to good groups and hitting the target.

After S&B, USO, and even a Leupold I'm a total glass snob now. I would love to see Swarovski come out with a tactical style scope.

For inexpensive but good glass, take a look through some Nikons. I have a Buckmaster and it's really pretty good.

Yep, once you step up in the quality glass department, its hard to be satisfied with glass from brands you used in the past. I recently tried the falcon 1.5-5 for an AR optic but was immediately dissapointed after using glass from nightforce, premier, and trijicon. I ended up with the vortex pst 1-4, much happier.

+1. If you think you are going to bump into something, it's better to invest in a decent mount+scope.

I was considering buying the Weaver 3-15 because of the great reviews I've heard about the glass!!! Now I see your two negative reviews and it has me thinking otherwise. Is it worth the $750? I was hoping it would be clear enough at 15x to resolve bullet holes in a shoot n see at 200 yards...

Haven't taken it out past 100 yet but at approx 5x I can see a .30 on a shoot and see. I'm guessing you shouldn't have a problem at 200 on max. Mine is going back because of a problem with the parallax control and the eye piece not in sync, one or the other, reticle or focus, is blurred a little. Once its adjusted past 12x it won't seem to focus completely. Still think the reticle needs improvement, those tiny half mil dots need to be a line not dots. Personal preference. If it wasn't for the new SS I'd probably just opt for a replacement but for another $250 the option to step up a bit in glass is rather tempting.
