My new scope from US Optics should be here tomorrow. SN-3 3.2-17x44mm T-Pal, MilScale GAP, EREK 1/10 MIL, 35mm tube, internal bubble level
Ordered on 7/14, so about a week under 3 months
I've got my Atlas V8 bipod, Eagle stock pack from Triad...
Now I'm waiting on GAP. I ordered a Hospitaller in .308 the same time as the scope. Was quoted 4-6 months so...I guess that my scope will be a paperweight for a while, but I will HAVE it.

Re: Present from US Optics

If you say you ordered it in anno brown, w/red illum, that's exactly what I want! :)

Re: Present from US Optics

Sweet! I'm almost in your shoes. My USO should be arriving in the next week or so. I also have my v8 on hand too.

I was thinking I could put the USO on my 40X until my new SAC arrives. At least to just post a couple of pictures right ? :)

Re: Present from US Optics

I'm in the exact opposite situation. I just recieved my Hospitaler from GAP, but now I have to wait on a scope. I just put on another one that I had for now so I could get out and shoot the thing, but I hate having a crappy scope on such a nice rifle. Wow, does this thing shoot. You will be very happy when you get yours. Worth every penny. I think it took them about 5 months to complete the build.

Waiting is a drag huh. The good thing is that at least you can shoot yours. Is your Hospitaller in .308 as well, and when did you order it if you don't mind me asking. Might give me an idea how far out mine might be.

Thanks, Greg

I read it somewhere on this board, and got a hold of Jeff to amend my order. I thought it sounded like a great idea as well.

I originally ordered green too, but was reading that the green was more distracting than the red, being as the eye picks up the color green so much better. I decided to change my order to red. Hope I made a good choice.

Re: Present from US Optics

Congrats man. The only thing I regret about my USO that I just got is that I saved a little, and didnt go with the tpal or the illumination... Oh well. I cant wait to see pics of your rifle when you get it, im jealous

Re: Present from US Optics

Now I know that this looks just like everybody elses, but this one is mine.

It will be $85 with the purchase of your scope, $130 for a retro fit plus shipping.

I will get you some pictures of it as soon as I get one back from anodizing.

I hear you about the boss... Did I mention my recent divorce having a lot to do with some of my purchases as of late?

Re: Present from US Optics

Nice scope, same scope I ordered except no internal bubble, yes milestone EREK, and I put my windage on the left. I do have the same desk as you though.

I finalized my scope order back in February and have yet to receive it. So congrats to you having gotten yours after only 11 weeks.

Wow, I ordered mid September, got the scope two weeks ago, sent it back, and am supposed to get a brand new one (it was built opposite of my ordered specifications) this week.

Have you called them? that seems like a unusual amount of time.

I ordered SN3 TPAL, with MDMOA illuminated RED, EREK IPHY, US 1 windage (on the left) sunshade with ARD, level and an extra engraved BDC cap for BHA 190 grain (300 win mag)

Re: Present from US Optics

Sorry for the delay to your question. I'm new at this and I'm not sure how to use the quotes function. I ordered the rifle in September 09 and made arrangements with GAP when I ordered that I would make final payment in Sept 2010. They were good with that and were very helpful with all the questions I had. They said that that payment schedule would probably be close to the finnish time because, at the time they thought I would be looking at close to a one year build time. I got the call from them towards the end of Feb. that it was done, so I had to wait knowing it was sitting there waiting for me from Feb. to about a week ago. Let me tell ya, that was painful, and there was no way that I was going to be able to make final payment prior to Sept. So I was s.o.l. but it was worth the wait. I'm still sleeping with it and my wife laughes at me, but I'm not ashamed, lol. To answer your question, yes,it's chambered in 308. Take care.

Re: Present from US Optics

@cttbax - At the beginning of the build I was notified that I would have to wait for the new 110 click EREK with Milestone I ordered since it was just coming out and waiting to be finalized. I had ordered the Mil-MPR reticle but the supplier for the reticle screwed up the batch so USO had to send them back to be replaced, but I told them to just go Mil-GAP since I have used that and am fond of it anyway. Have been keeping up with Arnold and Jeff about the progress and it should be done in a week, hopefully. I've had several dealings with these guys and they are great bunch of people so I am fine with the wait, just wish I had the scope already.

But since my Howa is still waiting for a stock anyway it is not like I can shoot it any time soon.

This will be a stout scope for sure. I thought with the 35mm tube and 44mm objective I was going to have almost a straight tube, but from the OP's pic it doesn't seem like that will be the case so I am very happy about that. I won't be able to read the parallax range numbers because it'll be blocked by the windage knob, but I guess I'll have to live with that.
