Gunsmithing Previously bedded stocks with a new action

In my search for a used AICS, I came across people that have had their stocks bedded to their action before selling. If I was to acquire it and put my Rem 700 SA action into it, what potential downfalls could there be?
I would prefer not to have re bed it. What are some of the things to be on the lookout for?

It all depends on what the previous owner did or had done. I personally would not worry about it if it came at a really good deal, but that's just me. If it was done correctly, which is hard to mess up, then you should have no problems. If you're at all concerned, then the safe thing to do is keep looking for one that is not bedded. Don't forget to ask the guy if the rifle that was in the stock had a factory or aftermarket thicker lug, and if it does ask what brand lug and if possible for him to mic the lug and give you the dimensions.

Then don't buy one that's bedded.

You have to re-bed it.
I just re-barreled my Savage, and had to re-bed it just because of changing the recoil lug.

Any change, carve it out and re-do it. I took mine down about 3/16-1/4" below the pillars, to give adequate depth to the epoxy.

I don't own an AICS, so I don't know if they have any quirks...but I can't imagine it's a whole lot different than bedding any other action if you have the experience.
