I was rooting around in my boxes of stuff and came across a surefire MB338SS03 brake.....no shims. Looks new but I am calling it lightly used......I think it was installed, never shot, and removed.

I've tried to find a value but find past threads from $65 to $450..........What is the going rate for these nowadays?

I snagged one of these on Ebay this summer for $277 however, the suppressor for this brake is OBSCENELY rare; and thus the market for this brake is extremely small. Surefire has made it clear that they are not open to making any more of the legacy reflex style suppressors compatible with these MB brakes again. Not only is the suppressor compatible with that brake a hens tooth, that brake requires a specific taper on the barrel in order to mount. For context, I do in fact have the FA-338ss suppressor designed for this, I was curious and gave surefire a call to find out more about when this can was made. I gave them my serial number and it turns out that the suppressor had left the factory back in 2013 and was at the same LGS for 11 years. As it concerns legacy surefire cans, most folks are familiar with the FA-7.62SS for darpa xm3 and m40a6 clone builds, and as a result those MB 7.62SS sell like hot cakes, however the brake you have is intended to be for the FA-338SS which from the small amount of information I can gather, was in use for a very short time right when the AI AXMC was first gaining some traction back in 2013. That specific brake and suppressor are very esoteric. Best of luck with sale.
