 Joined: May 2011 Posts: 187 | I have a Remington 700 varmint/tactical/heavy barrel/bull barrel chambered in 223. I am not sure what remington called this model. It has the hogue stock(tactical)? It has a heavy contour barrel 26 inch (varmint)? The rifle does not appear to have been fired much(bolt face shows little wear). It has a Trigger Tech primary trigger $175.00 on trigger tech website installed.I took this rifle in trade a while back and have never done anything with it. The condition of the rifle is used and shows normal use and wear. I tried to show any wear or use in the limited photos allowed. I am open to possible trades or am asking $850.00 |

Give you a bump with a suggestion , check the rate of twist as that will be a question many will ask. Rem. used a 1-12 in most of their 223 offerings , but did put out some 1-9 in a few 700's.
Hey OP. Free bump for ya. Email Remington with your serial number and ask them what the twist rate is.
Doesn’t sound crazy to me. But I’m not that guy that knows every twist rate rem has ever produced in .223
