I'm looking for an optic for my deer rifle. These Aimpoints interest me. I'm not too familiar with those. Besides the varying lengths, how else do they differ? I'm in MN/WI so shots are rarely beyond 50-100 yds. Would you recommend them?

They’d be fine for 50-100 yds. They don’t have magnification but are designed for fast acquisition on a target. They allow the hunter to focus on the target while keeping both eyes open, keeping the shooter fully situationally aware at all times. Solid as a rock optics with super clear sight picture and extremely lightweight. The lengths don’t really matter. The 34 gives you a larger picture than than 30.

I practiced yesterday at 100 yds with my newly acquired CompM4 and the glass clarity and crisp dot made it ezpz. Was honestly blown away and why I'm now considering that Hunter RDS over a traditional magnified optic. Is it fair to say the Hunter is more or less an oversized Comp?

I'll message you about the 34 later today. Heading into work soon.

Yes. More or less an oversized comp. Much better than the Comp M4 for hunting though. IMO
