Is it states. I would like some of your input on whether I stick with the 155gr A Max in my 16" 1:10" tw DPMS, or should I go heavier?
My current load:
WW brass FLS with Fed 210 primers
44.1gr H4895
155 A Max seated @ 2.8"
Velocity is only 2595 fps.
Accuracy is sub moa, & the weapon will only be used for med-long range, as I have my 300WM for the long shots.
Given the low velocity with the short brl would I really benefit from a heavier bullet going slower? I'm also wondering if you think I'm leaving some velocity on the table with the 1:10" tw with the light bullet, & I may actually get a better than expected velocity with say a 178gr A Max?
Thanks.
