Proof vs Carbon Six Sendero Shape?

So I’m going to order a Mesa Precision stock for a Tikka build. Mesa only has a couple barrel options including the Proof Sendero, but I’d like to order a Carbon Six. The C6 diagram doesn’t have Tikka specifically to analyze the differences in shape. I’ll reach out to C6, but in the meantime I thought I’d ask.

So I’m wondering if any of you know if there’s much of a difference? I’d like to order the Mesa w/ Proofs cut, but order the Carbon Six. Is Sendero profile similar between manufacturers?

Thanks!

So here’s some measurements for Sendero (308 @ 20”):
- C6 Tikka: 1.122” > .83”
- Proof Tikka: 1.135” > .963”

The C6 has a straight taper. The Proof seems to have a multi/variable taper. They seem close enough at the stock barrel inlet that I would assume it’d fit.

Am I missing anything? And real world experience out there with this?

I called Gene when I ordered mine and asked him this question. I don't recall the specifics, but effectively a C6 sendero fits in a Proof sendero inlet. Also, C6 uses the 1.13" shank that Mesa asks for when you order your stock.

A dowel or socket and some sandpaper will fix any clearance issues. :). Stocky's has proof prefits on sale, with another 10% off if you use paypal. Picked up a 6.5 PRC for my Tikka.
