Guys,

Just purchased a new Leupold Mark 4 12-40x60 TMR spotter and was really surprised that Leupold doesn't include or seem to make optional lens covers for it. For those of you who have them, any recommendations to protect the objective lens? Does someone make lens caps that will fit these?

I got mine with the Badger SLICK rail system as a package deal at a great price but I could find no lens caps that fit. I ended up getting a scope cover from Triad that has is made of corder and covers the rear eyepiece, but I ended up having to get the Badger Cateye hinged front cover which is a great front cover but really expensive.

That's a slick (no pun intended) system... However, you're right, the cost is a little unreasonable for my needs. You'd think there's bound to be something aftermarket with 60mm being a popular size even from other manufacturers.

I'd probably call Mike at Mile High Shooting, Euro Optic, or B&H Photo and ask if they had any caps that would work.

Thank you for the suggestion... I spoke with the folks at B&H and based on the technical data they have from Leupold they 'think' they have a lens cap that will fit the objective. For $26 is worth a shot and should be here Tuesday. Hopefully it fits.

It's just insane that something costing as much as the Mark 4's do doesn't include something so simple as a lens cap.

Reviving an old thread…..I ordered a 60mm pinch cap for cameras and it was way too small. I think the 60mm referred to the type of camera, not the diameter of the objective lens on the camera (I know nothing about cameras).

Any chance you have the measurements or info on the cap that you ended up getting?
