Great shooting. I like the net catching Brass. But does no one call impact on shots for you guys? We normally have several shooters in our squads calling impacts just so the RO knows more than one person saw the impact.

They do call out IMPACT!!!!!! Just did not pick up on the trigger cam. When you do hear it, it is from the go pro.

I enjoyed it. I had a few mental mistakes and read the target wrong a few times and gathered the wrong hold.
Thinking about switching to the Berger 109's, I currently run the 105. Seems my friends 109's hit harder and leave a little silver spot on the target.
What bullet are you shooting?
I can't complain for my 3rd real match.

I shoot 105 hybrids out of the dasher (2840fps@26''). Id go with whatever gives you the best groups. Raw dispersion will always beat out any marginal gain of BC, especially when MDs put out tiny targets. I was playing with 115 Dtacs at 2750ish, had some good results with those. Unless you're running outta bullets, id just shoot what you got. I did shoot my 25x47 at that specific match. The big downside of the 6mm cartridges is the energy down range and some targets it barely will move and sometimes you will not get the call if the spotters are mediocre. Thats the only reason i will shoot a bigger cartridge. We barely ever get fresh painted targets on the range i go to for practice, and i think it helps a lot for training. I dont think i ever really look for a mark on a target but more or less how the plate reacted. I have spent a day or two shooting edges on purpose just to solidify in my mind what I'm looking for. You don't really look like you need any help with positional stuff but if you do, positional practice on 1 moa paper dot at 100yds will tell you what you need to know. You should be able to reproduce damn near prone accuracy. Youre way farther ahead of me investing in the recording stuff as i just keep notes on my matchbooks to review my mistakes....Just my $0.02 worth. Keep at it and pick up something new every match!

After re-watching the video the only thing i see is really the PRS barricade and the KYL. I don have a tree reticle but i see that you really dont use yours at all. Is that by choice or something picked up at K&M? Unless i missed it, i didnt see you correct windage on the clock but dialed the hell outta the elevation. I know its pretty much personal preference but i really dont dial anything under 1.5 mil especially if its reoccurring targets. Being captian hindsight it looks like wind call was the same as what mine was on the PRS barricade .2/.4 ....This match wasnt that windy and would be curious to know what your data management looks like if it did get up to 10-15 like predicted. Armboard, turret tape, dry erase cards, or something else? Do you have wind brackets youre gonna work off or are you a math wizard that can do percentages on the clock? I say all this because when i first started i had no idea and really took me awhile to figure out what best fit how i shoot. When i started a year or so ago i was shooting a hot rod 6 creed at mach jesus and basically held edge of plate until it didnt work then held on the strong side off plate. That worked for a while but wasnt ever really consistent, watched alot of videos of guys that were winnnig and damn near all of them shoot basically a prober shot then stare....dial in windage correction and continue on the stage. I shot a club match with Chris Kutalek and Aaron roberts and probably picked up more information in that one match than shooting a my previous 10 matches by just watching them dissect a stage. I know there are some newer shooters on this post and most are local to central and south tx...Check out DI precsion, Derek Webster does offer lessons that can fit aroud your schedule as well as Aaron Roberts from Roberts precsion rifles.

No preference, just thought I would dial if I can. We did practice holdovers at K&M.
On the KYL, I thought I saw a left side impact on the first shot and added for the second plate and then flew off the right side of the 3rd plate. I just misread my first shot. Should have just been straight up the whole way.

I use eagle ballistics app and usually only have a low, mid (the one I start with), and a high wind. I use a dry erase card on my scope. I do tend to ignore the card and just go off my previous impact. It has bitten me on some of the longer troop lines. Something I need to get better at for sure.
