i dont shoot any big matches just some local stuff until mid next year so im starting to put my stuff together now and work with it to figure out what i do and dont need.
what fix it stick kit you you guys carry in your pacs? im looking at this kit...
I carry bolt grease and the tools to tear the bolt down. Not being experienced in this - I have a question about a couple of items I didn't see on the lists - unless I missed 'em.
First, anyone carry stuff for cleaning/lubing bolts & actions?
Second, how about rifle covers to protect bolts, actions, scopes? Like THIS one.
The reason I ask is two of the matches (the only two) I've been to my rifle spends most of the time on the bipod on the ground and with the wind it gets pretty gritty - to the point of not functioning properly (Bergara 6.5cm).
How are you guys packing your shooting bags (game changers, udders, rear bags)? Just tossing into the bottom of your pack? Strapped to the outside?

It fits everything I need with some room to spare. I've had a bigger backpack. I've had an even smaller backpack. The one thing that actually takes up a significant amount of space and isn't as compact as I thought, is the Sunrise Tactical rifle cover. It's hard for me to take it out because some places I shoot can be super dusty at one stage and others grassy or not dusty. At this point I can't justify getting a tripod, so a larger pack to haul that around isn't necessary yet.Is there much room spare in the Bandit?
Looking at buying a smaller pack as my Eberlestock X1e just seems way to big, the bandit seems like a good size but the website has conflicting infor saying its both 1300 and 935 Cu In.
