If it is a Gen 2 (rubber instead of the plain aluminum buttplate)...
1) Take a 1/8" Hex Key and remove the two screws holding the rubber buttplate on;
2) Once the rubber buttplate is removed, take a large flat head screwdriver and remove the buttstock screw (make sure you keep track of it because the standard A2 screw will NOT work as a replacement...you need the specific shortened Magpul screw);
3) Once the buttstock screw is removed, slide the PRS off the receiver extension;
4) Done. Its literally a 2min job tops.
If it is a Gen 1...delete step one above re: the removal of the rubber buttpad and just insert your flathead screwdriver through the hole in the top of the buttplate.
I had to loosen the hex screws on the sides of mine because it was too tight on the tube.. so if you get as far as above and it won't slide right off... loosen the hex screws on the sides.
also on my Gen 2 with the rubber pad, I can just extend the pad all the way out, and use a screwdriver sideways on the screw... if it is really tight this could be a problem, but worth a try first...

The receiver extension is proprietary to the UBR but uses a standard carbine buffer and spring. The PRS Gen 3 will work with any mil-spec rifle or carbine receiver extension.
