Hey all, just wanted to open a thread on the new PRS match and upcoming events up here in New Hampshire. I'm one of the organizers for the event so please feel free to ask any questions, but here's a quick description of the upcoming Bolt Gun Match in July:
Two day match with ten stages per day, mountainous terrain up here in the White Mountains of NH. All stages run from a mountain-top setting on our 585 acre property, average ranges 600-800yds with a few long shots out to 1200yds. Some fun high-angle shots, several dropping 200-300 feet to the targets. There are literally zero flat level shots in the match. We're taking great care to ensure the event is fun for beginners with plenty of generously-sized targets, while still running enough small steel and some KYL + TYL stages to keep experienced shooters on their toes. Some short light hiking will be necessary to get from stage to stage so plan appropriately, hiking boots or trail shoes definitely advised and pack as light as you're comfortable carrying over uneven forest terrain. Match Director for this will be former PRS Director Shawn Wiseman, he's finalizing the course of fire for each stage and the range books as we speak. The match is scheduled for July 8+9 and will become an annual event if all goes well, we're also looking at dates for club matches and gas gun events this year.
