I picked up a psa grendel off a friend, just curious if you guys had any suggestions for upgrades, or just leave it as is?

    20" barrel
    psa adjustable gas block
    psa bcg
    larue trigger
    prs gen 3 stock
    unknown buffer/spring (isnt flatwire)
Bushnell xrs 2 optic in a leupold mount

It shoots .5-.75 with hornady black but whenever I get around to gathering bullets for it, ill be loading either 123eld or 123 bthp

As you already know it will shoot, and you’re okay with the weight of XRS optic, would think focusing on handloads would be advisable until you’ve shot it enough to know the finer points that could be improved upon.
Have tried and had success with 8208, CFE223 and a few others, though AR Comp seems to be my ‘go to’ in a half dozen Grendel’s that stay in an active rotation. Low 27’s will show you a result, with excellent accuracy and low SD’s. CCI 41’s preferred, but RP 7 1/2 or BR4’s will work. As always, load to your barrel. Most all 120-123’s can be made to shoot with some homework. Nice rig, BTW.

Thanks! I’ve got 9-10lbs of 8208, I do want a lighter scope, but the only thing that comes to mind is a 3.6-18 mk5, I’ve got one on my hunting rifle and love it. The xrs is a tad heavy but it’s good glass
