Finally received my 6-24FFP MRAD from Liberty on Tuesday. Thanks a lot to Scott hes been a pleasure to work with, even worked it out with me to drop ship it from Vortex because I have a pdog trip Im leaving for very soon.
Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised after hearing some bad things about the scopes lately. Another friend just got one, and looked through another and told me I was going to be disappointed when I got mine due to clarity (Razor owner).
Well, I own a Razor, have seen S&B, Hens, NF, etc. I am very very impressed with the clarity. It is easily on par with my Razor up to 20x, and it really does not degrade much if at all after that. Dont misread this, Im not saying it is Hens quality, I'm saying for a scope less than a third the price, the quality is not a third of any of those.
The elevation tracks straight, have not had a chance to test the actual tracking yet, but the clicks are excellent. Feel very similar to the Razor, with maybe a touch less resistance.
Love the reticle, although I love the EBR-2B even better because of the holdover dots, but for half the price Ill live with it.
I was able to get the zero stop to stop 2 mils below my zero, which works well because I shoot a few different loads out of my 308 that require me to dial down sometimes. Its not quite as nice as the Razors brick shithouse ZS, but does its job perfectly.
Fit and finish was perfect on mine. No loose mag ring, good feeling parallax knob. Overall a great great optic, and not just for the money, I would definitely pay $1000 for a scope like this if they werent cheaper than that.
As of now, its only downfall is lack of elevation to run one on an ELR gun, but for anything shooting in the 1200yd and under realm this is a perfect optic.
Thanks Vortex and Liberty!
