I want to get a DBM to go along with a Pacific Tool & Gage DBM for my Remington 700 Long Range in 300WM.
This gun has a B&C M40 stock & inletting will be required. I am thinking about getting the CIP length (3.85 COAL). If I get this length, will any action modifications be required? I realize that the stock barrel is not throated to take advantage of such a long COAL, but eventually the barrel will be replaced. PT&G only offer the CIP length in the "stealth" configuration. I prefer the flush mount military, but this is not that big of a deal.
Any other considerations that I am missing?
