Pulsar Talion XG35 thermal

It would probably help if you mentioned said sale price.

That being said, you are going to be hard pressed to find better thermals than Pulsar and Iray products for the price right now if we are talking purely perceived image quality.

I went thru the same decision tree and bought the Talion XG35 before the price dropped. Great compact form factor, excellent image, easy to use app, glad I got a 640, I think it’s a solid value. Pulsars seem to have good resale value if you choose to move onto something else.

The Talion IMO, is more at home on a flat top receiver such as a semi auto AR10 or AR15. The Thermion line allows the use of rings so you've got a ton of flexibility there in how you mount it.

The Talion may or may not work on a bolt gun receiver depending on how much eye relief you require.

Where are you seeing either of these showing discontinued? Thermion 2's and Talions are the latest lines from Pulsar.

The Thermion 2 is a 50mm focal length with a more sensitive detector. If you plan on shooting things 2-400+ yds you'll be better off with the 50mm thermion 2.

Didn't see anything on the Talion being discontinued.

The link above for the discounted price at EuroOptics shows the sale price on the Thermion in their "End of Life" products and lists it as being discontinued.
