I have a Pulsar Trail XQ50 that I currently use as my primary scope. I am the second owner and it is out of warranty. It has some striations or vertical lines that show in the scope and don’t go away until I nuc it. The scope is still usable, holds zero and can provide a nice picture. Though the lines can be annoying. They are easily fixed, but come back after a few minutes. I called pulsar about sending it in to possibly fix, but won’t know price or if it’s even fixable until they get the device in hand.

Should I send it in? I’m worried since the trail is no longer produced, that I am SOL. I’d hate to ship it to them on my dime, just for them to say it’s not fixable.

Just my opinion, but for $20 or whatever the shipping cost is you will know if you have to keep recalibrating it, or not. Worst case it will be the same as now, best case it can be fixed. It would drive me nuts not knowing.
