Spent quite a bit of time ranging between 300 - 500 yards, because that's where I have found my eyeball estimating to get real questionable. The LRF is teaching me shots I previously past up, as too far out for 1 shot kills on game, are well within the capabilities of my equipment and skill. Should have invested in one years ago.
What I like:
- small light weight form factor
- easy to setup and simple to use
- ranges very quickly and with repeatable results
It will be a while before I find out if the BDC and slope functions are of benefit to me. </div></div>
I do like the angle functionality, but I have discovered that the BDC feature is pretty useless, especially when using mil/mil setups (they have CM, IN, and MOA as options for their built-in BDC). For me it's easier to get the reading, check my DOPE card and either dial in or hold over.
