Night Vision PVS-14 battery housing

I've got an older (2005) PVS-14 dual battery system that has cracked out the left side of the battery housing latch area. Can this be replaced with the single battery housing, or are there other internal changes required to run this unit on a single AA battery? Does anyone have a source for the old dual battery housing? TNVC only shows the new single battery housing in the parts list.

a single batter housing should work!

Just be careful not to damage the flying lead from the tube when you change housing parts... Otherwise, it's fine

If you're worried, you can always get whoever you buy the parts from to change it for you and they can probably purge it too.
