I've seen several people asking how well it works and wanting to try it. I have used it many different times and it hasn't failed me yet!

Last night I planned a cold bore, unknown distance night shot with a friend. I used a steel hog as the target painted white and it is about 12-14 inches tall (left my measuring tape at home....) and walked out to a unknown distance and dropped it off in a opening. Then with my rifle (LA precision, surgeon .308) and back pack we climbed a hill that could have been considered a mountain to make the shot. By the time we got up on the hill a light fog had set in making the pvs-14 struggle to see that far. I wasn't able to see the target good enough to range with my retice so I used a leupold range finder. This was difficult because I had to hold the LRF up to the pvs-14 to see what I was ranging! Any way I got a estimate on the range and it was around 380 to the target. Dialed 6.5 MOA on my 5x25x56 S&B and sent it. BANG! Nailed it! My face hurt I smiled so long lol. Since I have a AAC cyclone on my rifle I didn't blind the 14 enough to dim it so I was able to see the sparks fly off the hog before I heard the hit.

All you people with pvs22-27 and so on can stop laughing now.... I can't see as far as y'all so I have to do what I can with what I have.

Here's a few pics I took last night

I hit a bit low but hey, I hit it! The smoke looking stuff center mass is where a crack was welded up. I forgot my paint...
    I want a WASP but.........

Post some pics or stories of your pvs-14 on a day scope.

I also want a WASP, bought the PVS14 to use on a helmet rig and saw for a few extra bucks I could have another NV scope, got the High tech redneck and very pleased with it, it is fast to mount in under 5 seconds easy

I replied sometime ago about how I thought it was a pretty good set up if u already had a pvs14, for a a lil more $ u could set it up as a nightvision scope. People on here just laughed..."it's a cheap set up".... It's not the best set up"...I think it's a pretty damn good set up if you already have a pvs14 and a good day time scope. I've been layin the dawgs down with it and my FLIR ps32. If u want to shoot out 500-600 yards get a clip on. If u wanna shoot 100-300 yards you should try it. I think the key is a good day time scope 2.5 power, the lower the maginfication better cause it let's more light in.
