Night Vision PVS-14 vs PVS-18/M-983

How do these two units compare? I'm still contemplating a pvs-15 or BNVG but for the sake of spending less money AND having the ability to weapon mount as well as helmet mount I'm looking at monoculars as well.

Also the PVS-18 looks, at least physically very similar to one half of a PVS-15. Coincidence, or is is a mono version of a bino?

Ok so after some further research I now know the 18 is indeed a mono 15.

No one knows how the 18 stacks up against the 15?
