Hey guys, just received my NE pvs14 from Victor at TNVC. This unit is absolutely amazing as I've only looked through a GEN 1 unit a few years ago. Victor and Chip at TNVC were very helpful and great to do business with. They told me they do their own quality control checks and if the tube doesn't pass their standards they send it back to the company if there are to many black spots or whatever. Please excuse the pics as they are nothing compared to how the unit is in person. If you have any questions or want certain pics let me know. Now just time to make plans for a hog hunting trip.

Re: pvs14 Night Enforcer from TNVC

Haven't shot it with the 14 on yet. The recoil is hardly any at all with the suppressor on so I'm planning on holding it firm against my shoulder and hope for the best...would be the first time a scope hit me in the eye.

Yea I'd love to get a 22 but no way I'm going to dish out that kinda money for that right now. I'll see how things go with it and if need be invest in a McCann rail but not planning on doing to much night shooting with it.

Nice looking package but is there a reason you didn't get a front mount NVS optic? I have never seen one rear mounted before and I have had a chance to shoot through a scope with a head mounted NVS and it wasn't super easy to line up but using the front mount it super simple....just have or add a long picitanney rail and you are good to go.

I hope your new purchase does what you want it to but it looks like it might be very uncomfortable let alone hard to operate. They also have some Night Vision only dedicated rifle scopes that with quick throw levers hold a pretty good zero.

Best Wishes and keep us updated-Derek

TNVC has several adapters.

Derek the PVS-14s can not be mounted infront of the scope because they aren't set up like the PVS-22s and such. I've read theres a 99.9% chance of it not being optically aligned with the scope if mounted infront. From what I have tested I can get a pretty good cheek weld on the rifle with the optic, I'm not a big guy so I don't really need to hunch over the rifle to much. Everything seems good so far just need to find a friend with some land and try it out at night.

EDIT: I notice I did not mention but I can get a good cheek weld from the sitting position. This is how I do most of my shooting, other positions the eye relief is not so great at all. Sorry for not mentioning this earlier.

I got the exact unit from Victor and it is GTG, however I use mine as hand night bio's to locate hogs, if located then use my dedicated N/V scope atop my AR15.

rem-nice rig and I hope it works well for you. I am a bigger guy and the rear mount would be in the way....it would be touching me. I know that type of unit is not front mountable. I should have clarified......I was wondering if you considered a front mount unit......which for higher end units are costly I know, or if you considered for your needs just getting a dedicated night scope with throw levers so you could swap your day/night scopes on a good rail while maintaining zero?

Let me know how your setup works for you......I'd love to hear your opinion of the product quality also.
