I changed from RCBS Chargemaster to the Auto-Trickler/Throw set up about a month ago , ordered the pan and base upgrade from area 419.but was not very happy with the Lee Powder hopper while loading for my 300 Norma Mag. I searched on the internet & came across a product manufactured by Dramworx.com to replace Lee hopper for my Auto Trickler and was wondering if anybody on Snipers Hide has tried it? They also make them for other powder dispensers. I liked the idea of the larger clear hopper and less static electricity. Any Dramworx users out there willing to share their opinion???

First I have seen of it. I will tell you that my Dillon hopper has indeed turned yellow. I don't see any downside to using a pyrex hopper, other than the cost. But it seems like a solid idea. I say go for it and report back here

Looks like a good alternative to the plastic tubes provided by all the manufacturers. Plus he makes larger versions. Price isn't terrible, either.

Hornady just sent me a new one as my old one corroded all to hell in 3 years.

I tried it once because i had to go out of town so these comments are based on using once i was going to wait and use it a few times before i made any comments however since somebody asked here goes my opinion after a ONE TIME USE.
I see the advantage with the larger canister especially for additional powder capacity such as the 338 Lapuas etc, it is a bit top heavy when filled all the way with powder. The quality of the hopper is excellent similar to a Dillion. However to change to another powder on a autotrickler set up is problematic since a few grains tend to stay in the bottom of the hopper unable to empty the hopper completely, the Lee hopper seems easier due to the pitch angle and the bottom of the hopper. Keep in mind this is a problem with the autotricker set up only where the Lee base is screwed onto the upper cover of the scale. I'm going to continue to use it because i do want it to work, its a great addition if i can figure to drain all the powder out easier without spillage. I am located in Miami where humidity is high so i do not leave powder in my hopper, I empty every time after use. When the Hopper is removed there is a opening at the bottom of the Hopper so the left over powder can spill out.

I just ordered from Area 419 a auto throw housing and hopper combo kit. Based on wath i read on their description, they purchase the hoppers from Dramworx and ad a shut off valve at the base as per the description on their webpage. This is going to help solve the concerns i had on the Dramworx hopper . I have used many of the Area 419 items and i am very happy so far. So i am looking forward to these additions to my Auto Trickler.
