I always liked the sleek look of the KAC bubble level. And I like tritium. So I’ve been thinking about making something similar with trit illumination, and finally this last weekend I started on it. This is still just a proof of concept, using an 8mm diameter level and 2 3mm diameter tritium tubes.
I’ll probably bump down to a 6mm one, and then my tritium tubes are 7mm short so I’ll either use twice as many shorter tubes or a couple longer ones, and possibly in red. I also need to work on the clamp side as I allotted for too much space, leading to it needing a rubber spacer.
So far this version just fits under my 1.25” elevated mk5 scope, so the smaller tube will help. I sized it for almost a press fit into the rail slots (using the NATO concep), hoping I can get away with plastic construction and not have to mill the clamp from aluminum.
