Was wondering if anyone has tried 7828 in a .308 load? Just curious to see how a slow burning short cut powder would work pushing a 155 scenar? If so, what is the starting load and do you need to use magnum primers? I searched the reloading depot but couldnt find anything on 7828... Any info will help...

thanks

Ian

Re: Question about 7828 SSC

I use that powder in my 8mmRM with good results. I believe it is slower even than 4831. I am also interested in seeing if anyone has indeed tried it in 308 Perhaps someone with QuickLoad or something similar can give an estimate as to the starting load

For 4831, my Nosler book info has some loads, but they are between 97 and 106% case capacity. 7828 would use even more powder
