When selling a Firearm (or Firearms accessories), what would be a good starting point for pricing it? For instance, if you had a bolt gun with all the bells and whistles attached to it, how would you go about pricing it? Take a certain percentage off what you have in it? If so, what is a good percentage to start with?
Also, Is is better to strip the gun down and sell the scope, bipod, etc, separately? Even then I would like to know what to take off the new price.
I realize that it has a lot to do with the gun or accessories you're talking about but I am looking for some kind of generic guideline to pricing used guns and accessories.
I have sold my private guns in the past for whatever the going rate was but it seems like long guns with all the goodies is hard to price without giving it away or tearing it down.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Note:
This is probably not the right place for this question but I couldn't find another place that would make sense. If there is a better place for it let me know and I'll move it.
