Question about Kestrel 4500 vs Kestrel 5700

I do not have a Kestrel and want the AB version. Don't care if it has blue tooth, prepared to enter stuff manually. Seems the only difference is that I can only store 3 sets of ballistics on the 4500 and a hell of a lot more on the 5700. Does 3 really mean 3 as in 1 load for 1 rifle, or does it mean 3 rifles, multiple loads under it. If it is the former, I would have to take 1 off when I filled it up and note all the specs on paper before deleting and do the opposite to bring it back in?

Other differences?

thanx

upgrades on the 5700 over the 4500 that I see and value:
(1) lot faster - think it has faster processor and more memory - I can tell difference here.
(2) much better screen resolution and the screen is a lot tougher (will not get beat up as easily)
(3) battery door significant upgrade (the 4500 door pissed the hell out of me - I had to tape the damn thing shut)
(4) better button layout - a lot faster and the buttons feel better to me

all around the 5700 feels tougher - and I believe is - which is important if you are bringing this thing into the field with you. I would spend the extra coin. Just get the non-Link 5700 if you don't need the Blue-tooth, which will save you a bit of cash.

The 4500 AB model will hold 16 rifles. The 4500 Sportsman will hold 3. The 5700 Elite will hold 30 rifles. The 5700 Sportsman will hold 3.

Get the Bluetooth version, so you can use your phone to upload CDMs. We now have a library of over 700, which you will be able to access on your phone, vs the handful programmed in. It just makes things easier. I would suggest going the 5700 route, you will benefit much more. Especially with the advancements coming out.

Personally, unless your are a really active shooter and able to master a lot of weapons, the number of rifles is of limited value once you get above 10. The 4500 is a great unit and well proven but the 5700 is newer and has some nice features. Probably one of the best features of the 5700 is that they are still supporting and developing where the 4500 falls into the when they get around to it mode.
