Gunsmithing Question about muzzle brake...

This is definitely a beginner question but I need to know and can't seem to find anything searching....
Just purchased a Rem. 700 AAC-SD in .308. My plan is to install a AAC muzzle brake to eventually serve as a quick release mount for an AAC suppressor.
How do you secure a bolt action rifle to get the recommended torque necessary to prevent the brake from loosening? Any recommendations appreciated.

Hold with one hand and use an armorers wrench to torque on the break to the right amount. You don't need to vice the rifle. Be sure to use acetone on threads and the break and clean it up real good before applying the Rockset otherwise 50 rounds in and that brake is gonna be spinning.

I apply never sieze to prevent galling when the brake needs removed. I just snug my brakes up with a 4" long bar stuck through the baffels just about a firm handshake tight. Not even enough to roll a rifle over. Never had one come loose. If I was installing a silencer then I might actually torque it up to abouty 30 foot pounds with neversieze.

Thanks for the help! I just didn't know if there was a special vice that is needed to secure the action or barrel. Sounds like its not needed and thats what I needed to know!

just tighten to about 20 ft pounds...you can do this with a wrench and your hands...
