Question about transferring a firearm

Am selling a used rifle in the same state. If I'm on travel, can I have an adult family member deliver the rifle (actually meet the buyer halfway), or should I go through my FFL and insist the the buyer comes to him (or has him ship to his FFL)?

I can't seem to find a good answer, and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Give them a call.

These are your firearms, you should either do the face-to-face if within the regulations of your state, or you transfer it to your FFL.
