I had Greg Tannel build me a 260REM. I had it built initially to be a hunting rifle so I went a little light with it. I'm wanting to get into shooting longer ranges over 400 yards. I really like the S&B PMII scopes. I just wanted ya'lls thoughts on what scope you would put on it:

-Stiiler Predator action
-Lilja 22" barrel #2 contour
-McMillan Hunter edge stock
-Jewell trigger

Here is some pics of it:

I have been on his site a lot, but never posted much. I'm in the Navy 19yrs, and I am stationed in Va. I'm am originally from Georgia.

Thanks for your help

The SnB, Mark6, are great for this caliber. I would add the Steiner 16x, great glass. Sorry but I have never been impressed with Bushnell or Nightforce glass.

16x to 20x will be perfect. 25x is a little high but would still work great of course. Plus the added bonus of being able to dial back if you had too.

I would look at the following:

-Scope weight (You still want a light rifle, right?)
-Adjustment range (you need to have enough adjustment to dial to the ranges you want to shoot at after the rifle is zeroed)
-Glass quality
-Scope features
-Power range (At least 10X)

It's just silly to throw a 40+ oz scope on a lightweight rifle in my book. It would work fine but it defeats the purpose of a lightweight long range hunting rifle.
