I would think so. The beam isn't being moved that fast.

Not sure how they are steering the beam on this setup but I used to work on ESI Laser Thick Film resistor trimming systems many decades ago.

They used large linear motors (essentially 3" voice coils like you might see in a speaker) but with 4"+ of travel to move the optic arm that carried the beam.
Running diags at max acceleration (many G's) they moved in a 2" square and stopped at each corner so F*ing fast they just seemed to appear in each corner.

I could see myself getting a bit deep into the pendlton bottle and modding that laser to smoke geese in my pasture. I would have the atf&l, the f&w and peta here.....and it would be a hoot. It's on my lottery list.
