Question on JAE chassis and Impact Action

I did a search and couldn't find this topic so here goes. I received a super nice JAE chassis today from another member here on the hide. I went to install my impact action and seem to have ran into a problem. I've got a TT on it , and the hanger will not fit down into the chassis. Has anyone else on here ran the same configuration and had a problem. I pulled this barreled action out of an MPA i've been running it in. Any help appreciated . Thanks

I don't own an Impact, but I'm not surprised. Sounds like you will have to machine it out a bit to fit.

won't work, there's screws in the way of machining it out. I'll post some pics tomorrow

Im sure it's been covered in threads but after a ton of research I couldnt find a thread that covered WHAT exactly to file away. Hopefully this helps those who are going to run the krg impact action combo. This little ridge around the screw is what needed to be reduced. As well as a low...

The earlier chassis definitely take some work with any action with a trigger hanger...... they made some running changes that accommodated clearance Later in production but it sounds like you have an early one.....

I'm running an impact in a early JAE and I did have to mill out the top of the bolt head to allow it to clear....... It'll cut most of the head off the bolt but still have enough to hold, its not a high stress part and if I ever needed to remove that bolt I'd simply drill out the remaining head and replace.

totally worth the effort in my opinion!
