I tried to search and couldn't find the answer.

I have one each of the 6.5-20x40 and the 6.5-20x50, both older 1" tube models.

Does anyone know the MOA values of the duplex reticle on these scopes? Specifically between the center of the crosshairs and where the reticle gets "thicker"? The scopes have limited travel and if I knew this value I could shoot a little further.

Thanks in advance

I believe the Leupold owner's manuals have that info in them. I've got one somewhere, but I couldn't tell you where it is. You may give Leupold a call or e-mail. Include your scope's S/N and they will help you out. Leupold has excellent customer service.

Thanks, I was also wondering if anyone was actually doing what I was proposing and how useful it was.

I have a VX-II with a fine duplex I've used for hold overs, but it didn't work great by any means. I really, really prefer a reticle with some form of scale.
