I am debating on getting my FFL. I am curious on cost savings with buying wholesale. I have called a few wholesalers but they will not give me costs until I have my FFL
What are the wholesale costs for a few guns so I can accurately determine % of savings. (I have been reading approx 30-40% savings)

Remington 700P
Springfield XDM-40
Nikon Omega 3-9x40 (BDC)
Beretta PX4 45 Tactical Package

Re: Questions for FFL Dealers

You have to decide do you want to have a store front with posted hours just to get a discount here and there on guns. It has to be a manned store and you have to sell a certain amount of guns per year to meet the requirements

Re: Questions for FFL Dealers

Wholesalers will not give any deals to the hobby FFL. You will get just as good deals from places like BUDS GUNS without a FFL. And it is a pain in the ass to have a FFL these days unless you have a full blown business. The BATF is on a mission to take away as many as they can

Re: Questions for FFL Dealers

Markup on guns is typically 5-15%, depending on the gun and the demand for it. As an example, I expect prices on the GSG-5 to go up significantly, but that's an anomaly.

I've seen markup ranging from 20% to 100% on optics, and again, it varies widely depending on the model and demand.

If you are not "in the business" the ATF will not issue an FFL.

You can get a C&R license and some companies will give you the FFL discount, but not the distributors.
