I have a .243 shooting an 87gr VMAX, it shoots phenomenal, .25' groups at 100. I want to try out the 105 AMAX, but was unsure if the seating depth is going to change due to the new bullet? My COL is 2.665, and in your experience, do you see this number change with every new bullet you try? I understand that the ogive to lands distance may be different from bullet to bullet but just a general question.

Thanks for the info.

Re: Quick question about seating depth...

If you're already at max COAL, then it will have to stay the same. If you have room to lengthen the COAL so you can get the bullet a little closer to the lands, that's best. The max COAL is determined by your max magazine length and/or the bullet contacting the lands.
