Rifle Scopes Rail cant angle question?

I know this is probably going to sound dumb but honestly I am not entirely sure about this.....

Now I know when ordering a rail with an moa angle to it, normally they are always labeled as positive moa correct? or is it negative that allows you to utilize more elevation out of your scope and just not labeled as such when the other option isnt available?

Probably sounds really dumb!

I figure it is the positive Since all of the rails I have ordered where labeled this way but I just want to be sure before I order again!

I have never been given the option of a negative moa angle and wanted to be sure to order the correct rail for my Kimber...

I should make you look it up yourself, but your question was intriguing:

Direct from EGW:

<span style="font-style: italic">Our Winchester 52 mount is made specific to the gun.

This mount is available in 0, 20 and Negative 20 MOA. If your Winchester has a TAPERED BARREL (very front of the barrel measures less than .750” , you will need a negative 20 MOA. The tapered barrel automatically gives you a 20 MOA – the negative will bring you back to 0 MOA. </span>

What Kimber do you own? That base is for a Winchester 52.
