Raineer Cold Hammer Forged Mountain Barrel

No personal experience other than the few times I've used Rainier Arms for service they were great. I don't recall ever reading a bad word about their barrels.

Hell at those prices-being CHF so they're either FN, DD, Noveske, Ruger-I'd would go for it. I would but I'm good on barrels currently.

Doubt that's a Noveske at that price. Though they do carry Noveske. I use the shit out of those for SBR's, there ain't a better short barrel maker IMO. Good for 1MOA or better almost always. I guess that's why they cost $400. FWIW, I think their chrome lined barrels that were hammer forged were actually SAW blanks they cut into AR barrels, the mountain bbl. or whatever. Still want one.

FN makes good milspec shit. Period. If it's an FN, that's not bad and makes sense.

I'd call and ask first though. There's a barrel maker out here I think that they use for most of their stuff. They aren't bad, I just don't know the name. They get the blanks and cut 'em from there. $150 kinda scares me for a barrel, it's the one part that makes an AR sing. If you need rack grade rifles and plan on building 'em, may be good for that.

They're finished on the gas block so the milspec babies won't cry a river.

I haven’t used those specific barrels but every Rainier barrel has been quite accurate and no issues.

Not to be that guy but I would look into Ballistic Advantage. If you go through armorally or graniteridgeoutfitters they are at the same price point if not better. They reason I give them the edge is they actually manufacture the barrels, sub-moa guarantee on all barrels, more selection of lengths/gas types, and in addition to chrome lined at almost same price you can get a melonite/qpq finish. I prefer that to chrome lined as studies have shown virtually same level of wear but they have increased accuracy.

Sorry for the rant, I am far more versed/knowledgeable with AR’s than precision content that you usually find on here so I just wanted to offer my two cents.
