Does anyone own one of these? I know there has been a lot of threads lately about precision ar's and SPR type platforms, but this one has caught my eye and I can't find many reviews on them. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated. Budget wise this is towards the top for a complete rife minus optics. Just looking for a SPR'ish type rifle to 500yds or so. Will be using hand loads with 77gr SMk's, so would like it to be capable of at least MOA. Pretty new to the AR world, so go easy.

Go with a barrel from compass lake mfg (douglas spr profile). Mine shot 3/8 or better and was right around 350. Buy the new megalithic upper from mega...get a good bolt and carrier...get whatever lower you want because they don't matter ;)

I have the RUC 14.5 with pencil CHF barrel and with a scope it will shoot avg of MOA at 100yds with Hornady Steel match 75 HP. I am very pleased with it as it is very handy for drills up close and can also shoot steel out to 400 which is just as far as I. Have tried

Rainier Arms is local to me and I have owned multiple RUC's and also used their barrels in many builds. Their Mountain series barrels are hard to beat, especially for the price. If you want a "do it all" rifle...the Mountain Barrel is a nice choice. If you are looking for consistent sub MOA...I would go with their UltraMatch stainless barrel. 18" Intermediate gas with a 223 Wylde 1:8....whats not to like?

Give them a ring...it's also hard to beat their customer service. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The AR platform is all they do...and they do it well.
