I once ran 10 miles in Jr. High, but I don't think I've run more than 4 1/2 miles since (now 44 yrs. old). I've been working on my 5K times, and probably run 9-10 miles a week. I got on the scale this morning and it pissed me off so I decided to go for a good long run. Did it on a treadmill set at 6.5mph and just jogged away for 56 minutes. It was surprisingly easy except the bottoms of my feet were getting raw.

I'm a minimalist runner, so I was running in Vibram 5 fingers. No knee pain, no nuthin'. It was nice.

I have run 8 times now in the past 10 days, only short runs of about 5k each with an average pace of about 6 mins per KM, but sometime I hammer it out and push it.

Running in Vibrams is the best move I have ever made in regards to my running. No more shin pains, no more burning in my calves and my longevity has increased.

Im a massive fan of minimalist running and cant say enough good things about it. My ASIC's now sit at the front door and see very little use.

Tim, glad you like the Vibrams. Train hard mate

You live in Woodland Park, and you ran on a treadmill? Blasphemy!

Congrats! Accomplishing a increase in milage always feels good. I like my Vibrams as well. I still slap on the Nike Free's, or Brooks Green Silence when I hit the road for runs over 5 miles though.

Yeah, VFF's and a foot of snow don't mix. </div></div>

Just giving you crap. WP is a beautiful place. I grew up in the Springs.
