Member Link Up Range day in central Florida

I’ll be running the paid long range practice at VCGHC in Volusia Saturday. Come on out if you want to gather dope or practice out to 1000.
@lash if I bring my 7 year old daughter out to vcghc can she shoot her 22lr from 50-200 at a little steel spinner I have and any targets you all have put out? I’ve never been over to your facility so I don’t know the layout or rules. She would shoot a bolt 22 under my direct supervision
@z7.jled , let’s take this to PM and discuss. The brief summary is this: the long range practice takes place in what is essentially a large field with some berms and a few firing positions. We only can currently only offer 157, 400, 500, 563, 600, 800, 900 and 1000 yards from the two firing lines used at this practice. This field is affiliated with, but separate from the nicer covered firing positions with benches and berms at 100-200-300 of vcghc.
If you want to, on another weekend day, I could meet you at the regular range as my guests and you and your daughter can shoot for $15/person. I can give you more details via PM or text message if you are interested.
As to the age of your daughter, I encourage early teaching of all children and only ask that you are there and that she shows and exhibits understanding of all the safety rules and proper gun handling. The same that I expect from adults (who should know better, but sometimes don’t).
