Huge thanks to @Diver160651 and his buddy John for letting me join their shooting session down at Coalinga and Avenal, we had to audible due to a morning match at Avenal, and start at Coalinga, but it gave me the opportunity to learn from Jim and get dope out to 1000y. Prior to today I had not shot past 100y. We got dope at 500y, adjusted my MV off of that(using Kestrel and the custom curve for Hornady ELDM 140g), that got us on paper with the first 3 shots at 1k, then shot these 2 5 shot groups. I know they aren't great but i am ecstatic. Jim helped reading and adjusting the wind for me and John,

RPR GEN2 6.5CM, Vortex Viper Gen2 5x25 FFP, Area419 brake, Atlas Bipod, @Precision Underground rear bag, Hornady ELD Match 140g.

Wind was from 8 o'clock 8-14mph and twitchy all day. What fun!

The black sticker target was from the first three shots on paper @1k

This valley has targets out to 900y on all sides in down the centers and we had a blast shooting on most of them!

the wind was 8-14mph from 8clock behind the shooter, but running up the valley from 9oclock, and over the hill and down into the valley out in distance but once Jim got the wind call dialed in it was ringing steel all over that valley!

I liked the idea of shooting under cover in the rain, windy conditions and no light sensitivity, plus the fairly easy set up on the Magnetospeed.
So I tried the sport model. Used it once on a test session and had trouble.
The read out is a nightmare. It is constantly scrolling with a digital readout nearly indeciferable. I could only catch the shot velocity just after firing before it set up for the next shot. That was the only data I could understand. Usless. I would think the V3 model readout is much better.
The POI changed and could make group size suspect. Barrel weight does not seem like a good idea.
I'll stick with the PITA setup of my Ohler. Hope the printer keeps working as there a no repairs available for it.
Others may understand the display and make it work for them. Not so much for me.
Well done sir! The horizontal on that second target is top notch. Good on @Diver160651 for showing you the ropes. And I am quite jealous of that shooting spot.
@Diver160651 was fantastic on simplifying all of the noise running around my brain and locking in on the fundamentals and the process of getting the dope, adjusting my solver, then walking out. Then moving to the next range and using the solver to dial elevation confidently and then focusing on wind calls. It was a blast.

That white flyer was my @Precision Underground rear bag shifting! Haha, just kidding this was the first real test of that rear bag and it was solid and confident on all my shots, I used the other bag you shipped me,(ELR Rear Bag) off the barricades and I was baaaad! I also used his gamechanger and was bad too but the fill felt different, I think more solid but not sure, need more time on those positions with those style bags. Also shot of his tripod setup and it was stable as hell but not like on my belly or the bench. All good stuff.

Nice! Yea there is no way a little rear bag will compete with a GC on a barricade but with fundamentals and correct bone support you can be just as accurate with it. The GC just lets you get away with a lot more.

I have seen it before but don’t know what it is... What is the software folks use to digitally measure groupings? How is that done?
