I thought I'd post a quick writeup with a few pics of our new 260 ammo loaded in 7mm-08 brass.
We've had great results, virtually duplicating our standard load that uses Remington brass.The only real difference was that we needed to back the powder charge down about .7 of a grain. The 142s and 139s are still running 2700-2750 from a 24" barrel, depending on the rifle and barrel maker.
A few quick photos from the range:
Here's a 200 yard target. 5 shots off the bipod. Stock Remington action with a Shillen barrel installed. Not a GAP, but its good enough for developing our factory loads.
And a 2 hole 3 shot group.
We achieved our goal, the loads shoot to the same point of impact, at the same velocity as our Remington brass ammo. As an added benefit, its even less expensive.
