I heard good things about this fairly cheap ammo, and wanted to give it a try since I'm looking for a cheap 175gr factory load. However, it doesn't shoot well out of my bolt gun. The gun is a Savage 110 Tactical 24" barrel 1/10" twist. It regularly shoots close to 1/2 MOA with FGMM 168 SMK, and within 1 MOA with Magtech 168 SMKs with a flyer every now and then. (Of course, the flyers just might be me.) I was looking to move up to a 175 grain bullet with this gun, but it won't be this round. Of course, your gun might perform differently, and I read many good reviews about this round before I bought a few boxes. But, this Savage 110 doesn't like it. It won't even group. I'm going to "bite the bullet" so to speak, and see what the FGMM 175s do.

The only Savage I own is a model 10 with a 1-10 twist. Factory loaded match ammo it makes little holes with 168. Any other and it’s getting close to MOA. Reloading fixed the issue but you and I are not the only people to note the Savage 1/10 preferring the 168. Can’t say why, just another head scratcher Savage rifles are known for.
