Just started Reloading. This was my first 50 rounds. Here are the specs.
Bullets: 150gr Sierra HPBT Match King
Brass: Lapua Match .308
Primer: Winchester Large Rifle
Powder: Varget 43-45gr
Rifle: Remington 700 Tactical .308W in AICS Stock
Distance 100yrds
Link to my Range Report Pictures
I shot 3 groups with each load. Each 3 shots, with the last a 4 shot group.
I started with 43, then 43.5,44,44.5, and finally 45 grains.
Looks like my first shots with 43 grain were the best. After the 2nd group of 44gr i cleaned, and the last group was MUCH tighter. I cleaned a few more times during my 50 shots to help break the barrel in and eliminate false groups.
Before today the rifle only had about 20 rounds through it.
The box of primers. The top row is the 43grain load the bottom is the 45. and you get the drift.
Tell me what you think, which looks the best, any comments or suggestions. All ideas and thoughts welcome as long as they are constructive
