Looking between these two- Sig Kilo 2200 BDX for $299 or Leica Rangemaster CRF 2700-B for $550. Is the Leica worth the extra money? Used mostly for hunting and looking to upgrade from Leopold RX- 2.
It’s been 4-5 years since I was in your shoes mulling over the same question you have asked. I ended up with the Sig. The Leica glass is superior to the Sig but the model I was comparing had a delay when displaying the angle modified range. Some don’t like the aiming circle the Sig uses but I haven’t found it to be an issue. I use my RF primarily for hunting and recreational shooting inside 1000 yards so the Sig was plenty good for my needs. I felt the money I saved going with the Sig would be better spent on powder and bullets.
Thanks Deadfall! I’m kind of thinking along the same lines as you on saving the money on the Sig , as either will be an upgrade over what I currently have, but if the money is better spent on the Leica, I’d rather spend a little extra.
It was in the Cabelas sale paper. Yesterday it was also listed on their website but it wouldn’t pull it up tonight. Supposed to be on sale through the 15th.
Maybe study the beam divergence between the 2, i think the leica is better, but maybe that is not as big of a deal as i think, i have the 2700 b myself.

Cabela’s doesn’t have them, but Bass Pro does at $299. I’ve decided against the 2200. I found some additional reviews while looking for prices, and have decided to save a little longer and buy the Leica or Sig 3000 binos.
